I dont know a lot about Russians, but the most important thing about humidity control is how open an enclosure is, if your enclosure is too dry you can cover some of the openings with aluminium foil (Someone else suggested this to me and it worked wonders, though make sure your tortoise can come close and bite the foil xP) and if its too humid make you enclosure more open or pour/spray less water into it.

This is my tortoise enclosure right now the warm end is 32 degrees celcius with a humidity of 41% the cold end is 23 degrees celcius with a humidity of 72 this ik is way to high but im not sure how to bring it down

That is not too high for a baby. Make sure temps stay up. I keep babies above 73F. How are you measuring humidity? Your enclosure looks open and a bit dry. I am wondering if your readings are accurate.

Russians need more humidity when they are babies, and way much less as adult tortoises.

For babies I pout water over the substrate then mix it up with my hand until all the substrate is damp. The light quickly dries out the top layer, and that's what you want.

For adult tortoises, mine live outside and they only get whatever humidity is out there naturally for them. They have a waterer and I water their grass once a week. The hibernate during the winter so I don't have to worry about their living conditions.

Ok then I would say humidity is fine, but temps might be a bit low. The basking area should be close to 100F.

I've had my RT for a week now the first few days he was very active and would run around these past 2 days all he does is eat and sleep, is this what they usually do in the wild or is something wrong with him?

I keep the 4 temps at, about 100F basking, warm side in the upper 80's to mid 90's, cool side 80ish, and night low 73F.

As we talked about on your other thread, getting your temps up will help. They sleep a lot though.

What some keepers see as interesting activity in a new tortoise that moves quickly around the habitat is really a scared tortoise looking to find a safe place or a way to escape this new, dangerous situation. Then when he realizes there's no way out, he just finds a quiet corner and stays hidden. Give him a few days to settle in and realize he's safe and you're the food god and not a predator, and you should see him quiet down and start coming out again.

Did not mean that the way it sounded. Anyone else coming along was going to ask what your temps are. After the settle in period, cold temps are almost always to blame for inactive and not eating.
