Russian tortoise poop

We recently got my son a Russian tortoise. It was shipped from Florida. He is around 5 years old. I understand that when they're shipped, they get stressed, but he has had runny runny, explosive diarrhea for the first week. And then it started getting better, but here's a picture of it. Now it looks like his food is not digesting. We took him to a specialize vet yesterday, and they're sending a stool sample in. I'm wondering if maybe he has parasites or something else going wrong.

It looks as though there might be a worm or two in the stool. Hopefully the vet will determine if worming is necessary and give you the proper medication to treat it.

Just FYI, don't accept any vitamin shots for your tortoise. They are unnecessary and often more harmful than good for your tortoise.

Thank you i was thinking he might have parasites too. So they sent a stool sample in. I definitely won't let them give my tortoise No shots.

How are your temps and enclosure size? If he's not warm enough and doesn't have enough space to move, his body may not be able to digest effectively.
