Russian Transportation

I'm getting a Russian tortoise on Sunday and the store is 40 minutes away from my house, I live in Minnesota and it is going to be below zero that day. I don't know how to bring it to my house without is freezing and was wondering how I should transport it and keep it warm during the car ride? Please help and leave an answer.

use a box with a hot-water bottle or one of those hand warmers they sell for hunters and fishermen

Can you just turn up the heat in the car? Bring a thermometer as long as the car is in the 70s it should be okay.
