I was thinking about putting a spider plant or two in my Russian tortoise's enclosure, I heard that they like to hide under them, but are they safe for them if accindentally ingested?

Yes they are ok be eaten. Far warning though. They will eat it before utilizing it as a hide. So just make sure you have additional hides in the enclosure.

They are safe plants. They are also easy to start new plants from. So, before placing in with your torts, clip a few starters and get some replacement plants started.

Nasturtiums are great and edible too, flowers and leaves. They are easy to grow from seed. Grapes are easy to grow and the leaves are yummy.
