Wondering how many people have see through fronts or sides on their tables? Do you think the torti's are happy in them or better off with solid walls? Thanks!

This very much depends. The problem of a see-through front can be minimised by making sure the enclosure is big enough.

Torts are territorial and roam large distances in the wild. They need plenty of floor space in captivity and all but the smallest (youngest torts) need something bigger than your average vivarium.

If the enclosure is too small then the tortoise will look to get out and being able to see through the glass makes that worse.

I've been using glass tanks indoors to start babies with no problems for decades. I like the tortoises to be able to see me and me see them.

Outdoors, I prefer to have large enclosures with a visual barrier all around.
