Can anyone share with me what type of plant matter I need for a small group of Russian Torts.. They don't seem to have interest in Grass....They seem to enjoy spring mix..but want to make the enclosure self supporting..I've planted collards, romaine, mustard, but want something that can keep up with there constant eating...any help would be appreciated..thank you

I don't know..dandelions don't seem very prevalent hear in FL.... My Sulcatas love St Augustine grass .... The Russians don't even look at it....Wondering if they enjoy clover?

You could try the clover. Mine just ignore them.

Anything I have ever planted in my enclosure is mowed down and then properly decimated in no time. I even went with a grazing mix for them and it doesn't last unless you can give it t a rest period.

It's always a good idea when seeding, to section the yard off into two sections. Seed one side while keeping the tortoises on the other side. Once the seeded portion is up and vigorous, you can move the tortoises over and seed the other side.

You can buy a Mediterranean seed mixture from tortoisesupply.com. It grows well and contains all kinds of plants that Russians like.
