I have a Reeves turtle, 141 grams. I've had "him" since he was 13 grams and that was October of last year. I believe he's a male but I would like another opinion. He has the V and not the U notches, his cloaca is placed quite far down the tail, he has an extremely long tail and nails. Thanks for any input. :)

Yes please! (Sorry, I had to...)

I think you're right though. Appears to be male, but time will tell for sure. I'm expecting the tail to drop more and become more evident over time. Do you know what the parents of this turtle were like? Some Reeves can get VERY big, and if this is one of those turtles, it could have a LOT more growing to do.

Hahah, I thought the title would get attention. I'm glad we have the same humor.

I do not know what his parents were like but I am on a mission to find out. I bought him at the reptile store I worked at. I'm almost positive that he's captive bred. I'm going to ask what breeder was used, I have a feeling that I already know who bred him. I was told he was a smaller variant and would probably be no bigger then 6" to 7". I won't be breeding or pairing him up ever, just nice to know his sex. Thank you for your input :)

He does look like a male :D but he also still looks a wee bit small, so a bit more time might be nice :D

(I really LOL'd, by the way)

Thank you :) go figure I got a boy, I always end up with males. I hope he's not gonna be a monstrous size as I've been told he is a smaller variant. He's still got some growing to do for sure :)
I was hesitant to put that as the title but I knew that people would have to peek in this thread. And then I knew I'd be having some laughs after. So thanks for taking the time to assist with some sexing and giggles, tehehe.
