Tucker is a beauty, we all know that, Shellie never gets a mention:(, but I think she's an amazing northern.

Thank you Craig! She was "the pretty" baby, outdoing and very active, great eater from the beginning. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1472761500.654392.jpg Tucker, not so much. He wasn't as colorful, plus didn't want to eat and was withdrawn. I was pulling him "by the ears" the first 5-6 months just to keep him going. I chop their food and watch them eat to this day. I bring him over to the food and make sure he eats. Shellie has been "the easy one", sweet, cute, active, funny, she is still full of personality, loves her head and butt rubs. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1472761966.021763.jpg the other day while cooking had my daughter bring them in to sample some fresh beautiful fish. Shellie doesn't waste any time, goes off exploring:) and no, they don't roam the house. This is only our dinner prep routine when they come at times to eat some fresh meat which they absolutely love.tImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1472762222.852859.jpg her shell is kinda ... bumpy! I wouldn't say: pyramiding, but... Uneven! Not as smooth as Tucker's ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1472762318.831258.jpg and they are kept in this same conditions. I wonder why

Pearly your torts (and that little one @Anyfoot just posted) are some of the smoothest I've seen in captivity. I hope Bean produces some hatchlings someday so I can try my hand at raising a smooth RF, especially since I know what I'm doing now!

And Shellie is beautiful, I always admire her extra scute.

Pearly - I'll measure his stinky butt tonight. He's about 11lbs.
