Shell Conditioner?

I have been hearing more and more lately about various store bought or homemade shell conditioners. It doesn't seem like shell conditioner is necessary but are there some benefits? Should I use it for my 5mo Sulcata? What type is best?

I just keep my humidity high and spray the carpace several times a day and no problems
