Shell Peeling

so do tortoises shells peel? I’ve noticed mine has started to peel off a little bit not sure if it’s normal. He’s about 4.5 or so about maybe 40 lbs... give or take thanks !!!

No. Not normal. Tortoise shells do not peel like an aquatic turtle's shell. Something is wrong.

Here are some pics, it seems like it is dry, he is inside for the winter, its my first winter with him inside and too big for atank, so the enclosue is temporaty... hes eating and pooping everything just fine... here are pics.

where is the peeling? I dont see any peeling. His shell is a really pretty color
