I can see shell underneath it just hasn’t come off on it’s own. He has a vet appt. In a week, I’m just worried it’s something serious.

Is there a heat source directly over the tortoise?
Can it be a burn mark?
It probably isn't serious and probably doesn't require a vet. Unless you're positive that your vet REALLY knows tortoises

The appt. Is for his yearly! His heat lamps are about a foot away, resting on his wire top enclosure. I hope she’ll know what’s up!
