Shell problem

Hi, one of my tortoises has had a shell problem for a while, have kept and bred tortoises for years and never seen this, can anyone give any advice how to help clean/grow the shell back? Don’t want it to get any worse or cause the tortoise discomfort or pain.

Hi, looks a nice tortoise. Do you soak your tortoise in warm shallow water in a high sided washing up bowl as that helps hydration? I would get toothbrush and gently go over all the scutes during the soak so he can not walk off! Get some coconut oil on kitchen paper and apply all over. Good diet with calcium will help growth and finally check your settings heat, light etc... hope that helps?
