What are the white patches on his shell between scutes? What can i do for it?

Hello and welcome. Where are you in the world? Might that be some hardwater stains? Doesn't look like anything to worry about to me. Can you wet him and rub it away with your hand?

Hey I'm in Alabama. No it won't rub off when I soak him. Some of the spots look discolored, just wanted to make sure its nothing to worry about. Like a fungus or something.
