Shell rot? Red foot tortise

Hello everyone!! I have a red foot tortise that I'm worried may have shell rot. The edge of his shell above his head seems discolored and dry. I see a few small white spots on shell. Your help is greatly appreciated. Need to know if I should make an appt with my exotic vet. Please see pictures

Hard water stains? How about giving her a nice bath then wipe it dow with moist clean cloth and rub little organic cold press coconut oil on it and see it is still there when it dries up

Agreed. Not shell rot. It looks like an abrasion or transfer from rubbing on something.
I also agree he looks very dry.
Have you been over our Redfoot care sheets? They are a wealth of information. Up to date and the latest information. Not like some old stuff that is still floating around out there.
