I was giving Ivan a bath today and saw these marks on his shell. Are these just scratches or shell rot?IMG_0588.JPG IMG_0587.JPG IMG_0585.JPG

Hey everybody,

Any chance you folks could ID what these marks are?

Like JoesMum says...all normal. You could put a splash of cold compressed coconut oil or argan oil on your torts shell, rub it all in, then wipe clean with a dry cloth. All those white marks will disappear and the shell will glisten. Many keepers apply such a lotion to their tort’s shell from time to time.

Good luck.

And many of us prefer our torts 'au naturel' as nature intended. I am one of many that didn't believe in messing with what has its own natural beauty :D
