Shell rot???

Tina got attack by one of my pitbulls a week and half ago. And when I took her out for a walk about today I noticed this. I'm 50% sure it is via a picture I saw on here. I want to make sure it is because I start treating it.

I think I see a little puncture mark. It does not look like classic shell rot to me, but could be.
Are you treating the puncture, if I am seeing correctly?

if she was just attacked a week and half ago then it's wounds torts don't heal over night

Keep it clean and wash it a couple of times a day with Clorhexidine...

He didn't puncture her shell. Luckily my wife stopped him befor that happened. But he did chip off some of her shell. After the attack happened I kept her in side for 5 days. Then moved her outside back to her enclosure(after I dog proofed it). We had a nasty storm come through north Florida last week after reading about shell rot today I decided to check her out. I wasn't sure if it's new growth or rot. I don't want to hinder the new growth if it is. But I'll start the clorhexidine first thing tomorrow. Thank you.
