Sorry that happened, but so long is there is no traumatic injury, she should be fine. It can take months, even upwards of a few years, but it will slowly heal.View attachment 395808
My poor tortoise was hiding in the grass when our lawn service came by today. They are always very careful to keep her safe, but she was tucked down in an indentation and her shell was scraped. I feel absolutely horrible and I'm not sure what to do to help her. Nothing is broken or bleeding.
Is there anything I can do to help her? I don't know if she needs a trip to the vet, antibiotics, etc.Sorry that happened, but so long is there is no traumatic injury, she should be fine. It can take months, even upwards of a few years, but it will slowly heal.
No, it doesn't appear that any treatment is necessary. In the future, I would recommend bringing the tortoise inside whenever your lawn people are coming. You are extremely lucky the tortoise wasn't killed. Is there anything I can do to help her? I don't know if she needs a trip to the vet, antibiotics, etc.

Thank you.At a minimum, I'd probably put something like Vetericyn on it.
