I moved Eloise in to her new enclosure today. I still want a few more plants in here and I need another hide. I bought a new cork round for her but she's too wide for it so it will have to be returned for something that she fits in.
Good point! Moving it now....see that is why this forum is good for all of us tort keepers!
Moved those vines.....Thanks Laura for the great input. I also went to the dollar store and grabbed some more plants and I used the fore mentioned cork round as a planter!! Score!
Any thoughts on adding a second story/landing or platform maybe along the back wall which is too tall for her to climb over? Thinking that it would double as a hide for the ground level? I really could use some opinions on this she seems to like it but she no longer likes her hide and has been sleeping in the open still eating and definetly more active also I'm having trouble getting the temps up. I have only seen it as high as 82 at the ground level I know that is warmer at shell level but how much? I have two basking spots but I have not seen 90 on either of them since the move in. Lights are about 10 inches above the top of the cocoa choir one is a 60 watt incandescent the other is 45 watt mini flood the flood was in the old enclosure and kept her warm enough at a higher distance from the bottom of the enclosure but not now why?
