Skin problem

My tortoise's scales above his eyes look like they are peeling off, he is also sleeping in really late. He is about a week old

You see this a lot in the desert-type tortoises, but I've never seen it in a RF. Are you keeping the tortoise moist enough? Humid enough?

That would be my question also. They need high humidity and hydration.

I to squirt water onto his rock under the light so that it will make it humid but recently we have started to see some signs of shell rot so I stopped so that he would stay dry.
