As the title suggests, I have been soaking Optimus Prime indoors lately as it is pretty cold outside now. High for today is only 56. This week is supposed to get pretty cold mostly at night while he is safely tucked away. Optimus Prime has had some urates and I tend to worry. I've been adding more cactus and cucumbers to help with fluids as I don't think he's even been getting close the his water dish.

Soaking indoors drying and making sure I place him back in his night box to stay warm. Any reason not to do this with the cold weather?

Warm soaking indoors sounds like it's totally necessary now! 56 degrees... ❄️! Don't let him get chilled on the way back to his heated outside box!

Heat up a heat pad, drape over him and get him in the heated box?

Yes for sure, as OP has had urates in the past I don't want to go through that again. I will definitely keep him warm going back. It's not a long walk but it will be a cold one.
