Some don't do it at all. Some do it once a week. Sort of depends on a few factors. If they drink on their own regularly, and you live in a humid area where it rains fairly frequently, you probably don't need to do it all.
Its very dry where I live so I do it once a week in the hot summers and once a month or so in the winters.
My sulcatas get irrigation once every two weeks and that is basically a soak so why not go with once every two weeks. But mine do have regular access to water every day if they want some.
The prior owner told me a few things which may not be wrong but????
I was told he kept a sprinkler on in the pen. I was also told but someone else water down some of the grass in his pen.
Need to go to Walmart and pick up a kiddie pool. Maybe I'm to much of a clean freak but with two little granddaughters at home
who like to take baths even with cleanser and bleach I feel weird soaking a tort in the same tub the girls use.
Besides all the bleach and cleanser would be no good for the septic.
Is there a way to tell if a tort is dehydrated?
I feel like a worry wart tort mom.
