This morning Hercules woke up and I noticed his shell was soft, not SUPER soft, just soft enough to be concerning. I soaked him, I don't know if it's to wet in there. Temps fluctuate between 80 and 88. Humidity I like to keep around 80ish% is this okay? What do I need to change?
He is a 1and half month old ibera greek

He needs a good uvb lamp and calcium . A soft shell on a young tortoise is normal it hardens with age . But if is getting softer then there is a problem with the uvb and calcium . Feed foods with higher calcium content . Make sure your uvb lamp is putting out uvb some pet stores will test your lamp .

Mine is a mercury vapor, but it's too hot so we will be getting a new one very soon so it doesn't have to be so high on the lamp stand. So we're working on that issue :)
