Hey Everyone,

I was just wondering if it was a good idea to use soil in my leos enclosure? I thought it would be cool to actually plant some edible plants in there for my tortoise. I thought it would look quite a bit more natural as well.

Thanks ahead of time,
Bronson

Sounds good to me Bronson. I use the Premier Sphagnum Peat moss and you can get it at Lowes or most any home improvement store.

Christy's suggestion is what I use. If you were going to plant something in there I would mix in some dirt from your backyard. I can't get things to grow for very long in just sphagnum moss. What did you have in mind for plants?

I use a combination of soil and sand in my winter enclosure. It works well, but you have to keep it moist or it gets pretty dusty.
