After much effort, here are some fresh eggs!
Usually this female lays 4 eggs at once, this time it has laid two.
I hope that this tortoise lay more eggs this year, last year has laid 8 eggs.

So how are they doing these days?

In the first two eggs, the embryo is clearly visible. :)
Meanwhile I had two other depositions, one from the same female and one from an other female.
I'm waiting for two more depositions, I hope to have a total of 15/16 eggs.

Thanks to everyone for the comments!

The second baby is born!
Has hatched 15 days later than the first, this is normal in these tortoises.
The strange thing is that the embryonic development of this egg was at least 20 days in advance of the other egg.
When the embryo of this egg was about 5 mm the other had just begun to develop.
Despite that it is hatched after.
Both eggs(2) have been laid on December 12, 2011.

Congratulations! From what I understand, these torts are difficult to breed,no? Seems like they are among some of the most shy tortoises people keep, is this true?

Again, really awesome stuff, thanks for sharing :D

Actually my experience is hingebacks are actually very friendly tortoises once they get to know you. They also are not that difficult to breed. Getting them to hatch can be hard at times, but more and more are doing it every year. :D
