So this morning while I was cleaning out Rambo's cage I noticed his scutes seemed further apart then I've noticed before. I was wondering if he could be growing? Unfortunately I got him from petco so I have no clue how old he is. I attached some pictures if that helps, sorry they're horrible quality! I used my phone.
Also, I attached a picture of his boring old enclosure any tips on how to make it more interesting for the winter? I'm hoping to get him a new enclosure once I move my room around where he'll more room. Not sure what I'm going to get/make up I'll start planning it once my rooms rearranged :)
I think that's it! Sorry I barely ever update, I always forget how great this site is :p

Looks like a healthy russian shell to me. I think building a big tortoise table with some overhangs and "caves" would be cool. You could make the overhangs be shelves and put potted houseplants around the enclosure where he can't reach/destroy them.

He looks really healthy and your enclosure ideas sound good.
I found a wire plant holder that is meant for a deck railing on sale at ACE hardware, and I can put trailing plants in it. About the only way I know to keep them from being destroyed!

New growth on Russians is always bright yellow like that. Keep him well fed and well hydrated and his growth will be nice and healthy. Next summer when he is able to go outside, the sun will darken it up so that it is the same color as the rest of his shell ;) That and being a dirty little tortoise, lol.
