some say they are ugly bcuz it's a hybrid LOL I think that they have a cool shell pattern but I prefer the regular ol' sulcata and leo alone but they do look very different hahahaha

I don't think the word ugly was ever used. I can think of some other words, but I won't disparage the torts because of their birth circumstances.

This is just my opinion but they look like a fusion between a star, sulcata, and leopard.

No harm to the animal, records are kept, hybrids not a problem. I personally love them and I would love to know more about how their personalities are coming out, I never had a leopard but I hear they are shy compared to a sulcata, so who is it? Who's the mischief maker? lol

Weda.....Ive owned these since 3 weeks of age, records have been kept and there is a mind blowing rate of growth. They didnt start marbling till about 8 months ago ,,,and I see more of it everyday. Since day one there have been differences in them even though clutchmates. First off the lighter one has always been bigger , lighter and holds a sully' head and leg structure. This one also is full of personality , very outgoing and aware of its surroundings. Not shy at all! The darker one , more domed , head shape more leo , darker overall. Just started to "marble out" . This one is much more shy ....exactly like a leo behaves. Both super eaters ......
A pure joy , and experience in raising them up and seeing the changes develope.

Ah yup...still ugly :p, except that last one.

Yet, there is still a bit of a cool factor to them.

I'LL CATCH IT But I would Reather see A True Leopard or A Sulcata any time than a Hybrid,, I know more about avian Husbandry ,,, YOU WILL NEVER SEE a hybrid Mccaw in the wild ,and they are from the same area, what's sad 30 years ago it was almost unheard of ,,,now it's common place , to me all hybrids color are washed out,,I will never understand why anyone would want to do it ,, guess it has's , to be the money

Ha, I'm kinda proud of myself that I caught that, I noticed the lighter one had a less domed shape and a sully look. I wonder if being out in the sun will affect the color of their shells at all, like a sulcata gets lighter. Don't let know it alls with their 2 cents put you off, I want updates. And before I get flamed for saying that, if the shoe fits, people, wear it, I'm not pointing fingers at any one, but frankly I don't care if that offends you. You all have a right to your opinion, and I have mine.
