My Sphagnum moss arrived today

ImageUploadedByTortoiseForum1365622186.052420.jpg

Got a massive amount, way more than I was needing. So I have a couple of questions.

1. Do I need to soak it?
2. Should I make a hide?
3. Alternatively can I just spread it all over the viv and mix it with my coco coir?
4. If I just make a moist hide how do I store the remainder of the moss for a later date?

Thanks guys, me and wizzle will wait eagerly for your answers :)

Thanks for the replies guys! So soak some for a couple of seconds, wring it out, and then just pile it up in a corner of his enclosure?

I soak mine in warm/hot water until its thoroughly wet. Wring it out, then pile it in the corners and around the base of my plants. I used to keep it inside my humid hide as well, when I had one.

I store my leftovers DRY, closed up in the bag in a cabinet. I only soak the amount I'm going to use.
