I agree the "Mosser Lee" brand is crap; better stuff comes from New Zealand, or now Chile. Gather your own if it is available to you, but check local laws first.
Also beware when working with Sphagnum or peat moss, that if you have open cuts you should cover them and wear gloves; it's rare, but a fungal infection sometimes affects people who handle this moss.
