Hi guys! so if you've seen any of my other posts you'll know that I have added a 7-year-old Russian tortoise a few months ago. it's starting to get to summer where I am. And I've noticed that Ellie has been spending more time hiding in her borough. IDK if she's sleeping or just resting or whatever. is this normal??? should I be concerned
I bring her outside for sunshine when it's not like blisteringly hot and I bring out a bowl of water for her so she can cool down. but should I be concerned that she likes to spend so much time in her borough?
please help!

Please show us some pictures of her and her habitat(s) - indoors and outside.
What are the temps and humidity she is living in?
Is she in her own enclosure or are there other torts around? (Are they sharing an enclosure, can she see others?)
Has she spent time in the enclosure or is it pretty new to her?

... what the lady from Colorado said. We need more info about what the enclosure looks like, how big the enclosure is, and what sort of furniture and shade is in there.

there's a picture of her enclosure on one of my very first posts. I know it needs to be bigger but I'm still saving up the money for that because unfortunately I'm a college student and was not planning on having a tortoise. she's completely alone in there I do bring her out for like socialization. she spent her whole life in there but she moved to my home back in April I want to say

Please post pictures here in this thread.

As Tom asked:
We need more info about what the enclosure looks like, how big the enclosure is, and what sort of furniture and shade is in there.
And tell us the temps and humidity she is living in.
You are the only one there who can do this.
Show us some nice clear pics of her profile, plastron, legs/feet, face and tail, close enough to see what she looks like really well. What does the outside enclosure look like (pictures from different angles, not just a verbal description).

It gets confusing and its easy to make mistakes when we have to jump back and forth between threads. If an entirely unrelated thread got mixed in and the entirely wrong advice was given it could be dangerous in some situations. It also takes a bunch more time to jump back and forth.
