First time on this site. My Russian tortoise laid and egg 1/26/13 and I received some very good help to incubate it etc. She laid a second egg today. I have had my tortoises separated for about a week and a half. Would it be fertilized? I am new at this.

Yes it absolutely could be fertile. Female torts can lay fertile eggs for a couple of years after separation from a male. Have you read the threads on incubation and hatchling care?

Hello and welcome. You can put the secon egg right next to the first.

Don't be upset if they don't develop. Often the first clutch or two is not fertile. Sort of a warm up for the next 50 years of laying eggs. :)
