Spots on shell

what are these spots ? keratin stress? rapid growth ?

I can't remember what they are caused from, if it was even figured out, but they are of no concern and very common. They usually disappear in time.

ahh tysm ! scooter has had this for a while and i just presumed it was rapid growth spots but recently they’ve turned yellow-ish so i got a little concerned

I can't remember what they are caused from, if it was even figured out, but they are of no concern and very common. They usually disappear in time.
I've heard the theory floated around that it's caused from hard water stains. Dunno how true that is though.

Yep, I've read that one too. But I think I have heard two or three different reasons. So I just stick with it's normal and of no concern lol.

Do a search for "squiggly lines" if you want to read previous discussion about these. If you want to save time, I will give you the synopsis: We don't know what it is, but its totally normal and does no harm.
