I gave my stars (and hermanns) some spaghetti squash and they all went ballistic gobbling it up as if I had not fed them for months.
With Halloween coming up, there's going to be a lot of pumpkin squash available soon. So how often can I feed them squash?

Their diet should be 90% grasses, weeds, and other fiber rich greens. Whenever I'm unsure, I tend to give once a week only. Especially with things they go ballistic for and gobble up very quickly. (Tomatoes, papaya, apple, etc).
Think of squash as a treat, rather than something to give everyday.

These species can’t digest sugars properly - they cause digestive and kidney problems - so sweet foods like fruit, tomato, bell pepper and carrot should only only be fed very sparingly and very occasionally if at all.

Think of pumpkin and squashes as fruits and treat them likewise.
