How To Incubate Eggs And Start Hatchlings
I put my eggs in a plastic shoe box with a lid on it and put the shoe box in the incubator. You can drill a couple of very small holes around the top of the container, but not on the lid. I use vermiculite as an incubation media. I mix it in a 1 : 1 ratio with water by weight for Sulcatas and...tortoiseforum.org

she layed her eggs on top of substrate and had just finished when I found them
Oh! Right so I should not get my hopes up , but why is that they are not fertile if layed on top of substrate , is it not already decided before she lays them which have been fertilised and which have notDoes she have a nesting area where she can dig a nest that’s about a foot deep? I have found that eggs laid on top of the substrate are never fertile. But I always incubate them just in case.
