i just opened a bag of cyprus mulch and it seems chunky and splintery. Is it okay for my baby tortoises?

That's pretty much what cypress mulch looks like. After you get it in there and spread it around, then kind of pat it down with the palm of your hand. It will be fine for your baby.
Okay thanks it doesnt look like the forrest floor stuff I bought before.
If you're still worried about it, post a picture. It sounds like it's fine, but if it were me I'd like to be double sure.
I have tried and tried to post pictures and I just can't figure it out. Yes I have read the directions and still don't get it.
