New MVB and substrate

After seeing some alarming reviews of my old Scotts Topsoil, I ditched it and put Freddy on a blend of Miraclegro organic choice gardening soil and 100% Cyprus mulch.

His new MVB bulb also came today, and the output seems much stronger than his old tube bulb. Is it normal for the color to change though?

No the one in the picture is a SunForce from bigapple, but it wasn`t hot enough so I returned it and got a Powersun.

Funny that you mention the sunforce is not hot enough, because I just got a mega-ray bulb, which is kind of green, and it is also not hot enough. I guess they put more emphasis on the short waved uvb ray.
