I bought some bags of tripple milled pure cypress mulch. I also have 2 compacted bricks of eco earth.. my question is should I take the eco earth out completely or should I mix it with the cypress mulch?? Which holds humidity better pure cypress or a blend of the two together??

It's really a personal choice. You use whatever works best for what you're trying to achieve.

Coco coir (eco earth :D ) hold humidity super well, and is digestible. I'd be worried that your little baby might swallow a big piece of mulch and choke :( (they are curious!) For humidity purposes, you could try growing plants, moss or you could mix topsoil into the mulch.
