what do you keep your hermanns on as ive heard of different things being used, such as soil and play sand, aspen wood shavings, bark, newspaper.

the hermanns babys im getting are currently on newspaper at their breeders.

I use what seems to be a popular mix on TFO: cyprus mulch with some coco coir and sphagnum peat moss mixed in to hold in moisture.

I use aspen, but with a humid hide (with humid spagmum moss in it). I really like the aspen and my tortoises seem to like it too

I use Aspen mixed with bark lumbs in he rtable and a compost and play sand mix in her outside pen.
