Apparently, there aren't many care sheet mention about how often to change substrate, I am using coco fibre, it has been over a month now, should I change it, but then, I've already through some seeds into the substrate, expect it to grow:D

oh yeah, and I have peat moss inside the hide. should I change it as well?

Well, since its coco coir, as long as u keep the poo, food, and wet pee cleaned up, I know some people that have went 6-8 months without a complete change. I will normally go up to 3 months then do a complete change. Id say its just a personal choice.

Chris is correct...it is a personal choice...doing some housekeeping can allow you to go along time before a complete change...also...if your tort shares time between indoor and outdoor enclosure you can go alooong time...:D

I am new to the coir so I haven't had to change it yet, but with my cypress I maintain normal housekeeping and when it starts to dry out and becomes hard to maintain moisture it's time for a change :)
