I finally caught Pickle eating some chopped up kale, banana, mushroom, and cantaloupe the other day. I put his red wigglers in the mixture but left the veggies in his enclosure after his feeding. I saw him snacking on it when I went to change his water for the night. He's almost five months old and has doubled in size since he hatched. He eats primarily meal worms and red wigglers but I have phoenix worms on the way because they're less fatty than meal worms. I don't want to get him stuck on one type of protein. He's also more curious about us now. He doesn't hide as much and will eat with me looking at him now. He's doing so well. I just thought I'd share :)

It is usually a good feeling getting a turtle to try and eat new foods.
