Yes but hatch rates are much lower and it takes a while to really get the babies going well because of our dry climate. They will only hatch for me here in late September or October since they need 3 solid months of really hot weather.

They do much better when incubated artificially.

Plus, if you have a red ant problem, the ants drill a tiny hole in the shells and eat the egg contents (the voice of experience).

Ground squirrels will sometimes get your eggs too...

I was getting to the story about how the coyotes were jumping the fence at the Gpp breeder's place and digging up nests in the night...
