As the title states I saw my 4 month old hatchling sleeping in his water bowl tonight. Is this normal? Should I put him back in his humid hide?

Sometimes this means they have a high load of parasites. And sometimes it means nothing. I don't allow my babies to stay out in the open at night. I always put the stragglers in their shelters.

The water bowl and humid hide is in the humid enclosure. How would I know if he has a lot of parasites? Should I do anything about it?

If he's new to you, he must just have been dehydrated from his previous keeper.

Take some fecal sample to the vet. I recommend vets in practice :)
