We personally use a che bulb and it warms up the enclosure great. Never used a heating pad though - I know some on here swear you shouldn't use them, but I personally am not sure. Someone should come along soon that maybe has used them or knows the pro's and con's of one.

There are quite a few on here that use 'pig mats' which is basically the same thing.

I have one in my sulcata house, as well as a che...its only an 18x18, so it doesnt cover much of the floor space, but I find someone on it all the time. They seem to like it and it doesnt get too hot, just adds a little heat from the bottom. I am happy with it.

I have 2 heating pads in my Sulcata indoor enclosure and I love them! They keep my temps steady & so far, in the chilly NY nights, I haven't had to use the CHE.
