So I have to ask my humidity/ thermostat is zoo-med and I don't think it works good cause the temp says 75-80 in the hot side my friend gave me a thermostat laser gun he is a a/c guy it reads 98 on the hot side that's the highest point and 74 is the lowest point
The humidity is reading 30-40 when it's on the wall of the enclosure but when I put it on the substrate it reads 80-90 depending on where I put it
Is that normal??

Is it one of those round disk ones with a dial hand? I had one and I don't find them to work at all. I now use one I bought in the garden section at walmart for $11.00. Works great and gives temp and humidity.

I agree with lismar79 100%!! I had the round dial kind, also. It just isn't very good. I bought a digital one from Home Depot for about $10. It is MUCH better and I found that my readings were actually fine.
