Sulcata Marbling

Hello everyone, I have sulcata that is about 1 year and 6 months right now. recently, I noticed marbling on its shell. I am not sure if this is marbling, but this is the first time I have seen one in a sulcata. can anybody confirm with me if this is normal? here’s a photo comparison between a normal sulcata and my other one.

It looks normal to me but I am no expert ..... I will mention though we have over 70 Sulcata in our forever home rescue.

It looks a bit different, but it is not marbling like what is seen in Redfooted Tortoises.

I've seen that pattern on tortoises from mixed species parents.

Looks like it may have been bred with a leopard or star? That is the pattern that comes to mind when I see the markings on his side there in the second photo.

I was thinking the same! The shell shape looks a bit different to me

Ask the breeder if there is any chance that tortoise is a hybrid rather than a pure blooded sulcata.
