What a great addition to already gorgeous group!!!Got these beauties from a real nice lady. She bred the red red one and raised the two marbled/pyramided ones. The pyramided ones were pyramided when she got them.View attachment 184258View attachment 184259View attachment 184260View attachment 184261View attachment 184262View attachment 184263
Looks like the herd will have a bit of marbling genes thrown in. These were bred by my herd. Trying hard to diversify the gene pool.

Well Alegra, I like all torts in what ever form they come in. But I have a soft spot for the ones that have lots of scales on legs. I have a northern with a ridiculous amount of bright yellow scales on all 4 limbs. Terry had leggs, a beautiful animal.Got these beauties from a real nice lady. That's a tough call, the tail looks female, the anal plate is thin like a female. No concavity of the plastron(but maybe still too young for that). See how the anal scutes develope. It was sold as a "not guaranteed male". Looked like a male in the pics, but now I'm not so sure. Either way I'm happy.

We kept all of our hatchlings this year. The ones in the previous pics were the "few" hold backs from last year. Mine don't seem to marble till they are well over a year. Here are some of this years hatchlings. As you can see the signs of marbling are minimal at best. View attachment 184403View attachment 184404View attachment 184405
