As you know, I am from across the pond and not so well versed in native turtles and tortoises of US. So, I was looking at what species live in which areas and came across this infographic, it lists Afgan tortoise (Russian tortoise, Testudo horsfeldii) as one of the box turtles living in the state of Colorado...

I like that they are trying to show exactly what the turtles look like, - - - but - - - including a tortoise in with them makes me seriously question if they know what they're doing. That makes me doubt that much of anything they say could be accurate... How is someone who is just learning about turtles supposed to know or trust the accuracy of their info?

Especially since they've named the tortoise "AFGHAN" tortoise. Why do they think it's named "Afghan" and not "Colorado"?

Well... to be fair, there ARE Afghan tortoises living in Colorado, but then I wonder why they omitted all the sulcatas and other species.
