The downside about rehoming baby box turtles...is when they turn out to be absolutely gorgeous.
This is one of my box turtles, Sandy offspring. Her hatchlings always turn out to be screaming oranges and yellows and this one is headed that way.
I only rehome babies to people I know are capable and this guy is no exception. All of the cash goes back into my little self-proclaimed sanctuary, but I'd pay to have this little one back.
Till this day, I regret selling this little red and black one to a couple🤣 Penelope hasn't laid good clutch since.
