I'm setting up an enclosure for a bebe and am trying to get the basking spot dialed in. I have a 100w incandescent bulb on a rheostat at about 60% power.
Anyway, since I have an abundance of thermometers right now, I thought I'd compare.
The leftmost is an Inkbird ITC 308T thermostat that the radiant heat panel will be connected to. For this test, nothing is plugged into it, but I have have the probe in the basking area.
The next is a cheapy 3 for $10 generic digital thermometer and hygrometer.
The right most is an infrared laser temperature gun.
The second photo is an Inkbird WiFi thermometer and hygrometer.
They are all within a degree or two of one another except for the cheapy digital which is nearly 10 degrees hotter than the lowest of the others. It's hard to read in the pic but it's displaying 105.9°F. I am feeling not so confident in the cheap digital thermometers now.
