Spears gets fresh produce year round but Im looking around for pellets in case I forget to get her food or it goes bad too quickly. These are the only halfway decent ones I could find near me (Amazon cant deliver Mazuri to my country)
Whats putting me off is the grain and fruit..is it ok to feed on occasion?

About these pellets: ingredients of plant origin are just 35%. Probably, the rest are grains.. I don't see calcium in the composition and Calcium:phosphorus ratio is unspecified.

Tropical also makes Herbivore Soft pellets - these are slightly better.

Good alternatives are Arcadia Optimized52, Hikari Mulberific. Agrobs Pre-Alpine, mentioned above, is great for variety and has correct fiber/protein and Calcium ratios but lacks any other amendments (so occasional multi-vitamin or mineral supplement is probably needed).

I can vouch for the Arcadia optimized52, brilliant stuff if your tortoise likes it! Adds so much plant variety, especially during winters🐢💚
My hermann’s seems to love Zilla land turtle & tortoise fortified food. They are smallish pellets that I soak in a little bit of water for about 15 mins. 👌

I’m always curious to get people to look over the ingredient lists of pellets like this🙂
