Heya! Just wanted to know what I should improve for my Angie. The pictures attached have been taking today.

Cage: Cage is a 50 gallon tank. The bedding I used a coconut type bedding from Zoomed which she can burrow into if wanted. I'm going to be cleaning it soon but I wonder should I use a different type of bedding or is the one I'm using now fine for her?

Water: Her water dish used to be a shallow pie pan, but it started to show lots of wear so I switched it to a temporary terracota plant saucer from my mom's garden. When I go to the store I plan on buying a bigger one or roller-paint pan (which do you think would be better?).

Feeding: Everyday I feed her Earthworms, depending on size she gets 2 big ones, and 2 small ones to equal a big one. I prefer doing this to try to prevent overfeeding. If shes still hungry I put in some pellets. I feed her strawberries every 5 or 6 days or so but currently looking for other fruit options she may like. I tried romaine but she never touched it, I also plan on trying romaine again and if I can find some: dandelions. As a final note to this section she usually eats once a day.

Lighting: Without the heat lamp on its 26.2 C. I used to use a 75 before it burned out but should I go for a 100 instead this time around? Humidity before misting is usually at 55% which according to my hygrometer is "comfortable". I've been trying to make sure that the humidity stays at 75%-80%. Back on track, for night I use a 60 ceramic heat emitter. The left side of her tank is generally heated.

Health: From what I see her eyes look pretty clear and her nose is clear. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the shedding at her neck. I assume this is normal or is due to her not want to bask (explained in behavior section). I will be soaking in her in warm water for 30 minutes.

Behavior: Her behavior is pretty normal. She gets up at around 9, pokes her head out and as soon as I feed her she comes out to eat. She then goes to her water dish (pretty sure she is not happy about the temporary one as she hasn't been soaking lately) and then back into a her hut. Sometimes at around 5 or 6 pm she will stick her head out once more. She likes walking outside of her cage when I take her out and doesn't mind being handle (though I don't try to bother her as much due to excessive handling stressing boxies out) but she doesn't want to bask. I want to try to re-enforce this behavior but not sure how to go about it.

Thats mainly everything, let me know what to improve I'm pretty sure that I'm going have to re-enforce basking and soaking behavior. Thank you so much everyone!

Can you post a picture?

Increase the variety in her diet. Box turtles are omnivores. There are so many fruits, vegetables, live foods in addition to worms, and other animal protein that they eat. Feed her more. A lot of people feed every other day, but larger meals.

A picture of her shedding? I already have a picture attached to the thread. Her much more should I feed her? I don't want to overfeed but want to find that perfect balance. I'll take a look at a diet pdf I found and see about picking up some foods she may like. I finally got a picture of her cage up now. I want to add more plants, just got to find something that will fit.

Be cautious of feeding her on that type of bedding if she ends up eating to much of it when feeding it can bind up inside them. Other then that it's great for digging in just keep it moist. Best luck

Yeah I'm being cautious when doing so. Her pellets and strawberries she eats right out of the dish, when it comes to earthworms though I either take her out or put a newspaper over the substrate.

Okay heres my compiled list so far:

-A bit more food during each meal
-More food on her diet
-And make the substrate a bit deeper

I've also been thinking of making one half covered in newspaper for her feeding/soaking area and the other filled with substrate, would this be fine? Also if theres anything else I should do let me know!
